Winter Holidays in Vasser!
The young monks who have families are presently away from the monastery as the weather is really bad and it is a good time for a traditional break. Making good use of the facilities at this time, the senior monks have classes for the village children and some adults in Tibetan alphabet and grammar, as well as basic literacy. They are joined in this endeavour by the orphan monks who stay full time at the monastery.
